The Kunwinjku Language Project (KLP) uses language as a tool to help strengthen cultural identity in Western Arnhem Land.

We do this through activities relating to language such as recording stories and histories from local elders in a variety of dialects that relate to Kunwinjku.

The KLP is a West Arnhem Shire and Injalak Arts and Crafts Association project funded by the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) through the Maintenance of Indigenous Languages Programme.

In-kind support and advice is provided by the Australian National University (School of Archaeology and Anthropology).
